EUGENE - Steered by a pair of 41s from junior Logan Taylor and sophomore Blake Parker, the South Callaway Bulldogs golf team narrowly took first place in Thursday's quad matchup at Redfield Golf Course.
The Bulldogs compiled a 177 team total, coming in a shot ahead of second-place Eugene's 178 and two in front of third-place Fatima's 179. New Bloomfield was not able to field a full team.
South Callaway played Blair Oaks on Friday at Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City. Results were not available at press time. The Bulldogs compete in the Father Tolton Invitational at 8 a.m. Monday at Columbia Country Club.
