The Fulton Garden Club plants trees each year in celebration of Arbor Day. This year, Garden Club member Carolyn Flinn said the club planted two flowering crabapple trees. The trees, Flinn said, produce crabapples, which enrich the soil and provide food for birds.
"A tree creates an ecosystem," Flinn said.
She emphasized that the group was not just planting the trees for "eye candy."
