Westminster logs lone doubles win in SLIAC loss at Greenville

Sophomore Laura Kelly and junior Laura Wiltshire's win at No. 2 doubles was the Lady Blue Jays' only triumph in a 8-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss to the Lady Panthers on Monday.

Kelly and Wiltshire toppled Greenville's Abby Maurer and Gianna Paden 8-3.

Kelly (WC), 6-3, 6-2; No. 4: Emilie Britt (GC) def. sophomore Ellen Woolsey (WC), 6-3, 6-4; No. 5: Emily Rauch (GC) def. Wiltshire (WC), 6-3, 6-0; No. 6: Paden (GC) def. junior Grace Sanford (WC), 6-3, 6-3.

•No. 1 doubles: Baysinger/Friedline (GC) def. Klutts/Beeler (WC), 8-4; No. 3: Britt/Rauch (GC) def. Woolsey/Sanford (8-5).

Westminster (1-4, 0-2 SLIAC) played a conference match at Principia (Illinois) College on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time.
