Holts Summit Optimist Club holds its first kickball league

The yellow team clings tightly to the fence at Howard field in Holts Summit as one of their teammates runs from third base toward home plate at the Holts Summit Optimist Club's kickball league Monday night. This was the second week for the league and the first time the Optimist Club has held kickball. The yellow team played the red team Monday night and won.

The Holts Summit Optimist Club held the second night of games for its first kickball league on Monday, Sept. 29. Bob Crawford with the Optimist Club pitched the idea of hosting a kickball league.
