The man suspected of killing a 6-year-old Fulton boy was in Boone County Court on separate charges Monday.
Scottie Willet, 27, was sentenced to three years each on two probation violation cases in Boone County. Both cases were related to felony stealing offenses that predate Willet's Callaway County charges.
Willet - the man suspected of murdering Dayne Hathman, a 6-year-old Fulton boy - faces Callaway County charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action, first-degree tampering, tampering with physical evidence and receiving stolen property.
Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wilson said Willet's Boone County charges and sentencing are not related to Willet's Callaway County charges. Willet has an appearance scheduled in Callaway County Court this Friday for those charges.
