Lady Blue Jays bow to Lady Bears in four sets

The Lady Blue Jays' six-match winning streak was snapped in a 25-20, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-16 loss to the Lady Bears on Wednesday night.

Westminster College (6-7) connected on just 7.2 percent of its attacks.

Sophomore outside hitter Riley Lawrence paced the Lady Blue Jays with 12 kills, while junior middle hitter Lexi Collier and sophomore middle hitter Amanda Kiso added eight apiece.

Sophomore setter Kayla Reeg finished with a double-double, posting a game-high 31 assists and chipping in with 17 digs for Westminster. Junior libero Caroline Will logged a game-high 22 digs, while sophomore setter Gabby LaRose notched 10.

The Lady Blue Jays host their quad on Saturday. Westminster plays St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches against Webster University and Greenville (Illinois) College at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
