T-Birds eighth-grade football team suffers first loss

HALLSVILLE - Jordan Delashmatt rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns as the North Callaway Thunderbirds eighth-grade football team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday night to Hallsville 30-28.

Garrett Dodge also threw a touchdown pass to Skyler Morris for North Callaway (2-1).

In the seventh-grade game, Bradley Berry ran for 147 yards and a score to help the Thunderbirds stay unbeaten with a 26-12 win over Hallsville. Tony Thomsen also scored on a pair of runs for North Callaway (3-0).

The Thunderbirds play at Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30.
