Allen powers MSD to homecoming win over Kansas

Junior quarterback Joseph Allen accounted for six touchdowns - five rushing and one passing - in the Eagles' 52-20 homecoming win over the Jackrabbits on Saturday.

Allen carried 16 times for 240 yards and was 7-of-19 passing for 39 yards and a 15-yard scoring throw to sophomore running back Ste'Quan Scott. Senior wide receiver Jeffrey Porter also added a 20-yard touchdown run.

Scott returned an interception for a touchdown from his linebacking spot, recovered two fumbles and posted eight tackles. Allen led MSD (1-2) with 11 tackles while Porter matched Scott's eight stops.

Sophomore linebacker Marcus Smith had eight tackles, posted two sacks and recovered a fumble, while sophomore defensive lineman Scotty Percy had six tackles and two sacks. Sophomore defensive lineman Terrell Owens and junior defensive lineman Noe Garcia had five and four tackles, respectively.

The Eagles play at Wisconsin School for the Deaf Thursday at 11 a.m.
