South Callaway triumph over St. Elizabeth in SMC play

Sophomore starter Konnor Arrowood scattered four hits and the Lady Bulldogs accumulated 12 hits in their 5-1 Show-Me Conference triumph over the Lady Hornets on Thursday night.

South Callaway (11-4, 2-1 SMC) tallied two runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings, then tacked on its final run in the sixth.

Arrowood - who threw a perfect game in the Lady Bulldogs' 11-0 win at Fayette on Tuesday night - gave up an earned run, struck out six and walked three to earn the complete-game victory Thursday night.

Senior catcher Anna Bartley went 4-for-4 with four doubles, a run batted in and a run scored to direct South Callaway, while junior designated player Ashley Miller was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and scored once. Arrowood finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and junior center fielder Kennedy Farley went 1-for-3 with a two-run single in the fourth.

The Lady Bulldogs host Bowling Green in a non-conference matchup at 5 p.m. today.
