Senior midfielder Rachel Meyer scored twice in the second half as the Lady Owls topped the Lady Pirates 3-1 in AMC play Wednesday at Firley Field.
Junior midfielder Jordan McNamara put William Woods University on top in the 29th minute, scoring on a pass from freshman midfielder Elyssa Cappapert.
The Lady Owls (2-3-1, 1-0-1 American Midwest Conference) increased their lead to 2-0 when Meyer converted a penalty kick in the 47th minute. She then collected her second goal on an unassisted effort in the 58th minute to close out William Woods' scoring.
Park University (2-4, 0-1) picked up its only goal from senior forward Shnell Briscoe in the 79th minute.
Sophomore goalkeeper Brittany Griffin recorded nine saves as the Lady Owls finished with a 10-8 edge in shots.
William Woods plays a non-conference match at Missouri Valley College at 7 tonight.
