MSD falls to Oklahoma in opener

Eagles junior quarterback Joseph Allen threw for a touchdown and tallied a team-high 104 yards in MSD's 52-6 season-opening loss to the Indians on Saturday.

Allen had 49 yards through the air, connecting with senior wide receiver Jeffrey Porter for a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Allen had 11 solo tackles on defense from his linebacker position, while sophomore linebacker Markus Smith had eight tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.

"All and all, we played hard and got some valuable experience that we will build on for our next game," Eagles head coach Stacy Pittmon said.

MSD plays at Arkansas School for the Deaf at 2 p.m. this Saturday.
