Junior middle hitter Bethany Bloss totalled five kills Wednesday night as the North Callaway Ladybirds volleyball team notched its first win in program history, 25-11 and 25-23 over host Missouri School for the Deaf.
Junior middle hitter Katerina Roesner added two kills for North Callaway (1-1), which is in its first year of playing at the varsity level.
"The girls played very well together and we were very happy to pull out a win," Ladybirds head coach Amy Spence said. "They communicated well on the floor together and that's a goal we've been working on a lot."
North Callaway also triumphed in the junior varsity match 25-17 and 25-14.
The Ladybirds play at Hallsville at 5:30 p.m. today.
