The Owls couldn't answer the Eagles' first-half goal in a 1-0 non-conference loss Thursday night.
Central Methodist University's Nicolas Vallejos scored the decisive goal off sophomore goalkeeper Ivan Monterrubio in the 22nd minute. Monterrubio played the first half in goal and sophomore Conor Cable worked the second half, registering one save.
William Woods University (10-3-2) outshot the Eagles on goal 4-2.
The Owls played at 21st-ranked Lindenwood-Belleville in an American Midwest Conference contest on Saturday. Results were not available at press time.
