The Lady Blue Jays ran their unbeaten streak to five and shut out their third straight opponent in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over the Lady Golden Eagles on Saturday.

Junior forward Tayisah Pohtos scored twice for Westminster (7-4-1, 4-0-1 SLIAC), tallying her first goal in the 34th minute off an assist by junior Monica Bittner. It was Pohtos' school-record tying ninth game-winning goal of her career.

Bittner increased the Lady Blue Jays' lead just before halftime, striking in the 42nd minute on junior forward Ashley Schimmel's pass.

Pohtos scored unassisted in the 89th minute to top off Westminster's offensive day.

Sophomore goalkeeper Ellen Woolsey saved three shots to notch her fifth shutout of the season and third in as many games. The Lady Blue Jays ended the game outshooting Spalding 13-11.

Westminster hosts Fontbonne - currently tied for first place with Webster in the SLIAC standings - at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
