After originally allegedly providing a deputy with a false name, Rodney S. Garnett,49, was arrested Sunday, Oct. 19 for driving while intoxicated. Garnett, of Centertown, Missouri, was found to have a revoked driver's license and six DWI-related convictions.

Around 2:19 a.m., a Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputy stopped a white Chevrolet Blazer for alleged lane violations just outside of New Bloomfield on State Road TT. Garnett, the car's driver, allegedly gave the deputy a false name and said he had a valid driver's license. He was eventually identified. The Sheriff's Office found that Garnett's license is revoked and that he is on parole for being a chronic DWI offender and for driving while revoked (felony).

The Sheriff's Office arrested Garnett, who was allegedly intoxicated at the time, for DWI. He was later released to the County Jail. Garnett's bond is set at $25,000 - cash only - for being a DWI chronic offender and $5,089 in surety bonds for failing to drive on the right half of the road, driving while license is revoked (felony) and filing a false statement.

He is currently at the County Jail.
