Westminster continues SLIAC dominance against Iowa Wesleyan

The host Blue Jays recorded an astonishing 43 shots on goal in cruising to the 15-0 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rout of the Tigers on Wednesday night.

Westminster College (6-6, 4-0 SLIAC) posted its fourth straight win and shutout. The Blue Jays have not allowed a goal in conference play and are outscoring the opposition 34-0 during their current streak.

Sophomore midfielder Keagan Cavanah posted his first collegiate hat trick to spark Westminster. Junior midfielder Kevin Knobbe and sophomore forwards Peter Gerber and Diego Vientimilla also supplied two goals apiece.

Freshman midfielder Dustin Seibolt - fresh off tying a school record with four goals in a 16-0 blitz of Eureka (Illinois) College last Saturday - added a tally in the first half Wednesday night. Senior defender Connor Hollrah, sophomore midfielder David Immanuel, sophomore forward Josh Jaycox and freshman midfielders Daniel Barone and Mauricio Mateo added goals.

Sophomore Raul Belman Romero and freshman Ben Chesher shared the shutout in goal for the Blue Jays.

Westminster travels to Louisville, Kentucky, for a SLIAC match against Spalding University at 2 p.m. Saturday.
