MSD ends season in straight-set loss to Calvary Lutheran

The Lady Eagles (1-15) finished their season in a 25-12, 25-4 loss to the Lady Lions on Thursday night.

Sophomore Elizabeth Harrison recorded 100 percent on her serve-receives for Missouri School for the Deaf, freshman Melissa Davis had an 80-percent mark and junior Avalon Saxton converted 78 percent.

The Lady Eagles bowed to Calvary Lutheran 25-15 and 25-18 in the junior varsity match. Harrison led MSD with four service points and senior Azara Macker added three.

The Lady Eagles stretched Iowa School for the Deaf to four sets at home, but dropped Wednesday's match 25-11, 25-22, 16-25 and 25-15.

Senior Joyla Ingram hit on 83 percent of her serve-receives, 71 percent of her passes and paced MSD with 10 service points. Saxton tallied an 87-percent conversion mark on passes, 67 percent on spikes and recorded six service points.

Harrison added a 63-percent serve-receive rate, was good on 80 percent of her passes and logged five service points.
