Wilson, Sanders shine for Owls and Lady Owls at NAIA Preview

Junior Kaleb Wilson finished in 24th place, while senior Lee Anna Sanders earned 50th place at the NAIA Preview on Saturday.

Wilson's time of 26 minutes, 33.70 seconds guided the Owls to a 24th-place result in the team standings. Freshmen Kyle Gabrielson (27:57) and Phillip Kuplinski (29:16.60) followed, while senior Blake Cowers rounded out the William Woods men with a 29:42.70.

Sanders clocked a 19:38.70 as the Lady Owls placed 18th. Freshman Hannah Rutherford claimed 87th place (20:12.70). Other finishers for the William Woods women include: junior Samantha Brolaski (20:29.50), freshman Grace Young (20:44.50) and senior Alex Apperson (21:07.60).

Both squads will run in the St. Louis Fall Classic on Oct. 25.
