Westminster sweeps Blackburn in UMAC contest

The Lady Blue Jays ran their winning streak to five games with a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win on Saturday.

Westminster (12-8, 10-1 SLIAC) prevailed 25-17, 25-13 and 25-19.

Sophomore outside hitter Riley Lawrence guided the Lady Blue Jays with eight kills as the Lady Blue Jays notched an attack mark of 17.6 percent.

Junior libero Caroline Will had a team-high 12 digs and sophomore setter Kayla Reeg distributed 27 assists.

Westminster hosts Fontbonne in SLIAC play at 7 p.m. tonight. The Lady Blue Jays outlasted the Lady Griffins in a five-set win on Sept. 20 in St. Louis.
