Koppy pushes Westminster to SLIAC shutout of Eureka

Junior midfielder Eileen Koppy scored a goal and assisted on three others to help the Lady Blue Jays blank the Lady Red Devils 6-0 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday at Westminster Field.

Koppy assisted on first-half tallies by junior backer Alyssa Busken and junior midfielder Monica Bittner to send Westminster into halftime ahead 2-0.

Koppy produced an unassisted goal in the 49th minute, then fed a pass to sophomore forward Adrienne Ebersole (Fulton High) for another scoring strike in the 53rd minute. Bittner connected on an unassisted goal in the 58th minute, while sophomore backer Amy Greene's goal - off an assist by junior defender Brittany Paglusch in the 63rd minute - capped off the Lady Blue Jays' scoring.

Westminster (5-4-1, 2-0-1) put 20 shots on goal, while sophomore goalkeeper Ellen Woolsey picked up the shutout.

The Lady Blue Jays host SLIAC foe Iowa Wesleyan at 5 p.m. today.
