Two Holts Summit men arrested, charged in connection with August theft in New Bloomfield

Two Holts Summit men, Alexander B. Campbell and Michael A. Ousley, were arrested and charged in connection with a burglary that occurred in August in New Bloomfield.

On Aug. 14, The Callaway County Sheriff's Office began investigating a burglary, stealing and trespassing at a family-owned farm, located off County Road 388 in New Bloomfield.

Several items were stolen from the location including but not limited to scrap iron, sheet metal, cook stove, old cast iron bathtub and other items.

In their investigation, members of the Sheriff's Office identified Campbell and Ousley as people of interest involved in the theft, which led to their arrests. Campbell was arrested on Oct. 1 and Ousley was arrested on Oct. 3.

Both Campbell and Ousley were charged with second-degree burglary, stealing under $500 and trespassing.
