Iberia outlasts Lady Bulldogs softball team

IBERIA - Senior Kaitlyn Loucks drove in the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs' lone run with a double in the top of the third inning in Tuesday night's 3-1 non-conference loss to the Iberia Lady Rangers.

Iberia (16-3) took the lead for good by putting up all three of its runs in its half of the third.

Senior Anna Bartley went 3-for-4 as South Callaway (17-7) finished with seven hits. Loucks was 1-for-3.

Junior starter Ashley Miller took the loss for the Lady Bulldogs, giving up three earned runs in 4 1/3 innings. Miller struck out two and walked none.

South Callaway's junior varsity ended its season with a 9-5 record after a 12-6 win.

The Lady Bulldogs host Fatima in a Show-Me Conference contest at 5 p.m. Friday.
