WWU's Sanders, Wilson compete at NAIA cross country championships

Senior Lee Anna Sanders and junior Kaleb Wilson represented William Woods at the 35th-annual NAIA cross country championships on Saturday.

Sanders - a two-time national qualifier - completed her collegiate career with a 182nd-place time of 19 minutes, 57.6 seconds. She earned a bid to the event after finishing fifth at the American Midwest Conference championships on Nov. 6 in Hannibal.

Wilson - also making his second appearance at nationals - claimed 49th place in 25:52.7. After finishing third at the conference championships, Wilson finished one spot ahead of AMC champion Cristobal Renteria of Columbia College.
