The Blue Jays' 48-percent shooting performance wasn't enough to push them past the defending NCAA Division II national champion Mules in a 91-68 on Saturday.
Westminster (0-3) finished 25-of-52 from the floor, while connecting on 53 percent (9-of-17) from 3-point range. Central Missouri (4-0) countered with a 61 percent shooting clip (33-of-54) and converted 6-of-9 from long range.
Blue Jays senior guard Brandon Moore had a team-high 18 points on 7-of-9 field goals and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Junior forward Matt Murphy added 13 points, hitting 5-of-10 from the floor and a pair of 3-pointers.
Mules guard Brad Woodson was 6-of-6 from the field and 4-for-4 from 3-point range to post a game-high 20 points. Central Missouri topped Westmister in rebounding 28-24.
The Blue Jays hosted Central Christian College on Monday night. Results were not available at press time.
