New Bloomfield to vote on 2015 budget next month

The New Bloomfield Board of Aldermen discussed the city's preliminary 2015 budget at its regular meeting Thursday night. The board will vote on the budget at its December meeting.

The preliminary draft listed the city's projected 2015 revenue for all departments to be $448,155 and the expenses for all departments to be $447,185. The preliminary draft includes estimates for all budget line items.

The preliminary budget broke down the city's 2015 budget by projected revenue and expenses for the following city departments:

•Debt Service

•Police

•Street

•Trash

•Sewer

•Water

For the city's general fund, the projected revenue was listed as $90,615 and the expenses were projected to be $59,215. For the Court, revenue was projected to be $10,150 while the expenses were estimated to be $23,025. The city's utilities - trash, sewer and water - are projected to make just enough revenue to cover expenses.

The city's Police Department is projected to bring in $685 and budgeted to use $38,655 in expenses, mostly for payroll expenses. The preliminary budget listed the city's debt service 2015 revenue to be $48,355 and the debt service expenses to be $42,365. It also listed the street department's 2015 revenue at $24,855 and the department's expenses at $12,000.
