William Woods records 10th shutout of the year

The Owls blanked their 10th opponent of the season in Thursday's 2-0 American Midwest Conference triumph over the Lions.

The shutout extends the school record for William Woods University (11-4-2, 6-3-1 AMC).

Sophomore midfielder Brett Hodges put the Owls on top in the 28th minute on an assist from junior defender Alex Severino.

Senior midfielder Burich closed out William Woods' scoring with an unassisted goal in the 74th minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Conor Cable logged five saves to complete the shutout as the Owls notched 14 shots on goal.

William Woods finishes the regular season at home against No. 8 Missouri Valley at 1 p.m. today.
