Jefferson City North Callaway junior Steven Coleman’s return to the state meet produced improved results.
Coleman placed fifth in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles and seventh in the 110 hurdles at the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 3 state track and field championships on Saturday at Dwight T. Reed Stadium.
Coleman posted a time of 40.86 seconds in the 300, while running the 110 in :15.12. In 2013, Coleman finished eighth in the 110 (:15.42) and seventh in the 300 (:41.18).
Junior Andrew Madison of Liberty North clinched garnered gold in both events this year, running respective times of :38.81 and :14.32 in the 110 and 300.
