Fulton man, 19 others arrested in drug bust

More arrests, indictments planned

A Fulton man was one of 20 Mid-Missouri residents arrested in a large drug raid conducted by multiple area law enforcement agencies Tuesday afternoon.

John H. Holsman, 36, of Fulton was one of 19 others from Columbia and Jefferson City arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cole County Sheriff's Department, Jefferson City Police Department and Columbia Police Department.

A press release from the Highway Patrol states suspects were arrested for distribution of controlled substances "including heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstacy and marijuana."

The release states the arrests were "the result of a lengthy undercover investigation" by the Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and the multi-jurisdictional Mustang Drug Task Force.

Holsman was charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance and arrested on $50,000 bond. The release states more indictments and arrests are anticipated throughout the Highway Patrol's Troop F area, which includes Callaway County.
