Attendees hold candles during a service at the Missouri Firefighters Memorial in Kingdom City on Saturday to honor fallen firefighters from the state. Family, friends and colleagues of firefighters who have died attended the service in Kingdom City. Firefighters who recently passed away, but not in the line of duty, were also recognized including Robert Lee Harris Jr. and Dee L. Ragan, both of Central Callaway Fire Protection District.

Firefighters who died in the line of duty to be added to the memorial walls this year were Harold Hollingsworth of the Fort Osage Fire Protection District, Joseph C. Carr of the Chillicothe Fire Department and Matthew D. Blankenship of the Marshfield Fire Department.
