Annual fishing tournament reels in participants despite rain

The Gaines Family of Fulton fishes underneath umbrellas Saturday during the Alan Leake Fishing Tournament at Veterans Park.

The annual Alan Leake Fishing Tournament drew about 35 participants to Veterans Park on Saturday. Children and teenagers competed to see who would catch the most and the biggest fish. In total, fishers caught 269 fish.
