May signs letter to join Owls' baseball team

Pitcher-infielder Drew May recently inked a letter of intent to join the William Woods baseball team for the 2015 season.

May - a St. Louis native - was a two-year letterman at (O'Fallon) Christian High School, where he led his team to back-to-back district titles, a sectional championship and a runner-up finish in Class 3 this past spring.

May earned all-AAA conference honors as a pitcher and infielder, and was an All-St. Louis Metro second-team pick. He plans to major in business at William Woods.

"Drew May is a great addition to our program," Owls head coach Darren Munns said. "He is an outstanding young man whose leadership skills were showcased while leading his high school to the state title game.

"Drew will have an immediate impact on our program, and will compete for playing time as a freshman infielder."
