WESTPHALIA - South Callaway junior guard Troy Hentges connected for a game-high 18 points and the Bulldogs rode a dominant first half to a 72-58 Show-Me Conference victory over Fatima on Tuesday night.
Hentges was one of four players to reach double figures for South Callaway, which was in front 17-14 after one quarter and outscored the Comets 23-12 in the second quarter to extend its lead to 40-26 at halftime. The Bulldogs - winners of three straight and seven of their last eight - carried a 55-43 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Senior forward Cody Vandelicht also tallied 15 points for South Callaway, which raised its season record to 10-3 while remaining unbeaten in the SMC at 3-0. Junior guard Cory Hanger contributed 12 points and senior guard Garner Rudroff supplied 10.
