The William Woods University Lady Owls took out their recent frustrations on the Benedictine University-Springfield (Ill.) Lady Bulldogs.
Freshman center Kennedy Volkart produced 16 points and William Woods stopped a two-game losing streak with an 88-55 dismantling of Benedictine in an American Midwest Conference matchup Tuesday night at Anderson Arena.

The host Lady Blue Jays are on their first two-game winning streak of the season following a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference romp over the Lady Griffins on Tuesday night.
Senior guard Leigh Ann Lutz tied for the game high with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-6 3-pointers. Lutz - one of two players to reach double figures for Westminster College - also had five assists, four rebounds and three steals. Freshman forward Krista Armontrout, making 6-of-9 shots, came off the bench to tally 12 points as the Lady Blue Jays shot 49 percent (34-of-70) as a team, including 44 percent (7-of-16) from behind the arc.
