Hanger, Bulldogs slam St. Elizabeth

South Callaway rolls to third straight win

Junior guard Cory Hanger delivered a game-high 19 points and South Callaway rode a sizzling first half to an impressive 77-50 Show-Me Conference victory over St. Elizabeth on Friday night.

South Callaway broke out to a 19-11 lead after one quarter and extended its advantage by outscoring St. Elizabeth 25-10 in the second period, widening the gap to 44-21 at halftime. The Bulldogs possessed a comfortable 63-35 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Hanger - who also had six steals - was one of four players to score in double figures for surging South Callaway (6-2, 2-0 SMC), which picked up its third straight win. Senior forward Cody Vandelicht provided 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds, junior guard Dax Helsel had 12 points and senior guard Garner Rudroff added 10.
