Mokane For three quarters, the South Callaway Bulldogs traded body blows with the state-ranked Eugene Eagles as a Show-Me Conference championship hung in the balance.
But as the fourth quarter unfolded, the Bulldogs ran out of punches and the Eagles came in and landed a couple of knockout swings to capture the league crown.
South Callaway was outscored 27-12 in the final eight minutes in bowing to the Eagles 59-42 in Friday night’s regular-season finale.
