William Woods women fall to NCAA Div. I Southeast Missouri

The Lady Owls finished a paltry 24 percent from the floor in a 77-40 exhibition loss to the NCAA Division I Redhawks on Tuesday afternoon.

William Woods - which trailed 36-20 at halftime - connected on 15-of-62 from the field and just 1-of-11 3-pointers.

Junior forward Nia Lateju paced the Lady Owls with 14 points and nine rebounds. Senior guard Dennisha Rice and junior guard Marissa Webb scored seven and six points, respectively.

Erin Bollaman posted a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Southeast Missouri. Jasmine Robinson scored 13, while Olivia Hackmann and Hillary Lively each notched 11 points.

Connor King scored six points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds as the Redhawks edged William Woods out on the boards 46-45.

The Lady Owls stay on the road for an American Midwest Conference tilt against Lindenwood University-Belleville at 2 p.m. Saturday.
