Conley is from North St. Louis County. She attended William Woods University in Fulton and later attended St. Louis University where she finished both a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a juris doctorate.

She started her legal career as an assistant public defender in Jackson, Missouri. She later worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney in St. Charles before entering a private practice. She returned to the Public Defender Office in Jackson as an assistant public defender - where she has worked the past two years.

"I look forward to the new challenge that I have been offered as the District Defender of Area 12 in Fulton and sharing my 24 plus years of experience. I feel like I've come full circle having attended my first year of college in Fulton, and now returning as District Defender," Conley said in a press release.
