Hornets' Wallace, Wilson honored with Class 2 all-state accolades

Fulton seniors Kevin Wallace and Austin Wilson were recently recognized as Class 2 All-State honorable mentions by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Wallace - a midfielder - tallied 17 points on five goals and seven assists for the Hornets.

From his forward position, Wilson notched 30 goals and two assists to rack up a team-high 62 points.

Wallace and Wilson were both named to the Class 2 Central All-Region team, along with Fulton senior midfielder Davide Lazzari.

Lazzari accounted for 33 points on 13 goals and seven assists during the season. He and Wilson were both Class 2, District 9 first-team picks, while Wallace and senior defender Cody Baumgartner were second-team honorees.

Baumgartner totaled six points - all on assists - from the Hornets' backline.

Lazzari was a first-team all-North Central Missouri Conference selection, while Baumgartner, Wallace and Wilson were named to the second team.

Fulton (11-12-1) fell to the Boonville Pirates 4-3 in double overtime of a District 9 semifinal on Oct. 27 in Boonville.
