The eighth-seeded Ladybirds scored just five points over the final three quarters in falling to the No. 3 Lady Wildcats 37-14 in the semifinals of the Hermann Tournament on Thursday night.
North Callaway (2-1) jumped out to a 9-3 lead after one quarter, but was shut out by Cuba 7-0 in the second quarter to trail by a point at halftime. The Ladybirds were then outscored 27-5 in the second half.
Junior forward Katerina Roesner and freshman guards Reyna Schmauch and Carley VanBoening all supplied four points for North Callaway.
North Callaway reached the semifinals after upsetting top-seeded Washington 27-24 in opening-round play Tuesday night.
The Ladybirds will play for third place at 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
