Holts Summit residence destroyed in fire

Fire destroyed a Holts Summit residence early Saturday, but no one was hurt.

Firefighters from the Holts Summit Fire Protection District and New Bloomfield responded around 1:30 a.m. to the 900 block of South Summit Drive where they found the home fully involved in flame. The residents had evacuated safely with help from police.

Cause of the blaze has not been determined. The local Red Cross is assisting the family.
