Car chase in Fulton Sunday morning ends in arrest near Portland

An attempted traffic stop turned into a car chase Sunday morning. Just after 11 a.m., a Fulton police officer signaled for a vehicle to pull over after a traffic violation. The vehicle did not stop. The Callaway County Sheriff Department and Missouri Highway Patrol joined the Fulton officer in pursuit of the vehicle.

They were able to stop the vehicle on County Road 469 — north of Portland, Missouri. The driver, Christopher C. Mosher, had three juveniles in the car. Mosher was arrested and charged with driving while revoked, three counts of child endangerment, resisting arrest and multiple traffic violations, according to a Fulton Police Department press release. Police took Mosher to the Callaway County Jail on a $3,200 bond.
