Callaway County United Way adds board members

The Callaway County United Way has announced the addition of five new board members.

“We always keep a watchful eye out for people that can bring new and fresh ideas, as well as a commitment to improving our community, to join our board of directors,” Board President Glenn Harris stated in a press release. “We’re all very excited to have so many dedicated individuals join our forces.”

The newest members of the board include:

•Margie Lechner, office coordinator for Emerson Center for Leadership & Service at Westminster College;

•Samantha Bedsworth, purchasing agent for the city of Fulton;

•Anne Johnson, executive director for Fulton Housing Authority;

•Sue Craghead, director of College for Kids: A Summer Exploration Inc.;

•Joe March, financial advisor for Edward Jones-Holts Summit office.

“Each of our new members bring a unique perspective to our board,” Executive Director Kathy Richey Liddle stated in a press release.

The Kickoff for the 2014-15 CCUW campaign is scheduled for Sept. 26. This year’s campaign goal is $280,000. The money raised during the campaign will fund 13 local agencies.
