JC man charged after pursuit in Callaway County

A Jefferson City man is facing numerous charges after leading authorities in a chase early Friday in Callaway County.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Department said Stanley Ronimous, 46, was taken into custody for failing to dim his headlights, speeding, careless and imprudent driving, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving while revoked, resisting arrest, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Just before 2 a.m., a deputy saw a vehicle leaving the area of a utility sub-station on Route AA near Missouri 94.

The vehicle failed to dim its headlights and as the deputy attempted to catch up to the vehicle it sped off at speeds of 90 mph on 94.

Ronimous was identified as the driver and led authorities on a pursuit on gravel and paved roads in the Tebbetts/Holts Summit area before he was eventually taken into custody.

Court records indicate that Ronimous has pending charges in Cole County for driving while revoked and resisting arrest as well as possession of marijuana.
