Coleman wins 110, 300 hurdles, T-Birds finish third at MSD Invite

Gray triumphs in 400 as Ladybirds take fifth place

The North Callaway Thunderbirds - sparked by junior Steven Coleman's victories in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles - took third place at the 27th-annual Missouri School for the Deaf Invitational on Thursday.

With senior Nick Jones bolting to wins in the 100, 200, 400 and long jump, the host MSD Eagles finished seventh.

In the girls' division, senior Jaida Gray triumphed in the 400 and came in second in both the 100 and 200 to direct the North Callaway Ladybirds to a fifth-place team finish.

Meanwhile, freshman Elizabeth Harrison came in sixth in both the 400 and high jump as the MSD Lady Eagles placed 19th.
