Owls offense keys league win over Park

The Owls pounded out 15 hits as a team in easily dispatching the Pirates 12-4 in American Midwest Conference play at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Park logged one run in the top of the first off of William Woods senior starter Bubba Bradshaw, but the Owls erased that deficit three at-bats into their half of the first.

Senior shortstop Sam Moon was hit by a pitch to lead off the game then moved to second when junior center fielder Cody Stewart reached base via a bunt single.

Moon and Stewart scored on a triple to center field by senior first baseman Matt Thomas to go on top by a run. Thomas would score on redshirt junior designated hitter Dustin Kremer's two-out single to right to make it a 3-1 Owls' advantage.
