Gray dazzles again, Ladybirds rough up Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY CITY — North Callaway senior starter Jaida Gray had her second commanding outing in as many days, throwing a one-hitter and striking out 13 on Wednesday night as the Ladybirds overpowered Montgomery County 10-0.

North Callaway — which stayed undefeated at 13-0 overall and 6-0 in the Eastern Missouri Conference — ended the game on the mercy rule after six innings for the second straight night. The Ladybirds pushed across two runs apiece in the second and third innings, then broke out for three runs in both the fifth and the sixth.
