The Humphreys family was one of 108 families honored during the Missouri State Fair's 55th Annual Farm Family Day on Aug. 12. Members of the family include father Carson, mother Katie, and sons Curtis, Colin, Keegan and Crosby.
The fair created this day to recognize farm families in the state of Missouri who stay active in their community, are involved in agriculture and are involved in programs such as 4-H and Future Farmers of America.
“It felt good,” Carson Humphreys said. “It's an honor to be recognized by your county.”
The Humphreys and other families were recognized during a special dinner and were presented with a commemorative plaque. The Humphreys were selected for the honor by the Callaway County Extension Council and local Farm Bureau.
