Offense has off night, Hornets suffer first loss to No. 6 Spartans

The Fulton Hornets offense drove into Moberly territory six times Friday night.

Fulton came away without scoring on each of those series.

"(Moberly) is an awful good football team and they're ranked in Class 4 for a reason," Hornets head coach Pat Kelley said.

It was a frustrating open to the North Central Missouri Conference slate for Fulton, which suffered its first loss of the season in a 43-7 setback to the No. 6 Spartans at Dr. Larry K. Noel Spartan Stadium.

The loss halted Fulton's best start in five years and it's longest win streak during that span.
