Callaway Chamber offers health care reform seminar

For people still confused on some of the technical points behind the Affordable Care Act, due to go into effect on Oct. 1, the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce is holding an informational meeting at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 24.

Presented by Dustin Bly of Bukaty Companies, a Chamber member based in Columbia, the presentation will cover new information about the Act in addition to explaining some of its more complicated provisions. Bukaty Companies deals in providing clients with the resources they need to stay in compliance with state and federal health care regulations. Bly will discuss how local businesses, based on employee size, could be impacted.

"It's a great opportunity as an educational seminar," said Claudia Starr, executive director of the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce. "I believe that you can always learn something."
