Fulton Middle School Principal Chris Crane didn't know what he was getting himself into when he met school district and Dollar General executives in his library today.

He only knew that it was something big. When he opened a big, yellow box presented to him by Steve Gibson - the Fulton Dollar General Distribution Center's director - Crane found out just how big it was.

The company presented the school with a surprise $40,000 donation to be put to use in its library for literacy programs.
